Metaphors for healing: tending your garden
Full of life and beauty.
I love gardening, indoors and outdoors. Plants often appear behind me during video calls, and if you see me in my office, you’ll be surrounded by them. The greenery reminds me of my goal as a therapist: to help people grow, heal, and reach their potential. When I meet someone new, I often think about what kind of “plant” they might be: a delicate-seeming orchid that thrives with minimal care, a flexible bamboo whose slender appearance belies its strength, or a ficus with shallow roots that needs support and containment to stay healthy. We all have our particular needs and preferences! Do you know yours?
